Project Description
Contemporary painting
In short …
Iranian painting is mistakenly called miniature. Literally, miniature is a French word used to refer to small, medium-sized crafts in the Middle Ages. After the West became acquainted with the art of Oriental painting due to its similarity in size, Westerners also used the word miniature for Iranian paintings. Iranian painting differs from the miniatures of the Far East and Europe in philosophical and aesthetic principles and is only one with them in terms of size and smallness.
As a teenager, I learned gilding and painting. The order and dignity of traditional Iranian motifs has become the aesthetic criterion of my works now. In contemporary art, the artist chooses the method of confronting traditional art, which will not necessarily be limited to the forms of past tradition. In personal aesthetics, the motifs of gilding have perfect perfection and elegance, but I consciously allow myself to try different and new combinations with them.
